Always be learning.

I spent four incredible days this week doing high level training and refinement of my stage routines with expert performing team Jeff McBride, Larry Hass, and Ross Johnson at McBride Magic and Mystery School in Las Vegas Nevada.

Forty years on stages worldwide and yet I’m still constantly loving the learning process and absorbing new ideas. We have to always have a learning and growth mindset. It’s what makes us vital and vibrant.

To make keynotes mind blowing for audiences, one needs be visual as well as verbal. Thank you to Jeff McBride and his team for supporting my vision. Top notch training and now I have so many creative ideas flowing. We need awe and mystery and wonder in our lives.

Magic is truly awesome because it captures the essence of wonder and reminds us of the limitless possibilities of imagination, bridging the gap between the mundane and the extraordinary. At its core, magic is a celebration of human creativity and curiosity, tapping into our innate desire to be amazed and confounded in the best possible way.

It transcends the boundaries of logic, inviting us to suspend disbelief and revel in the mystery of the moment. It has the power to bring people together, uniting diverse audiences in shared awe and surprise, creating a communal experience that lingers in memory long after the trick is revealed, or remains unsolved.

Performances like this speak to our inner child, rekindling a sense of innocence and fascination that often gets buried beneath the weight of adult responsibilities. It is both art and science, demanding precision, practice, and an understanding of human psychology, yet it feels effortless and spontaneous.

On a personal level, magic challenges us to reconsider what we believe to be possible, inspiring us to think outside the box and dream beyond the confines of reality. It serves as a metaphor for life itself, where the impossible often becomes possible through persistence, innovation, and a bit of misdirection.

It is an ancient form of storytelling that has evolved alongside humanity, from the street performers of ancient civilizations to the grand illusions of modern stage magicians. In a world increasingly defined by digital screens and virtual interactions, magic offers a rare and tangible experience, reminding us that the real world is still full of surprises. Ultimately, magic is awesome because it evokes wonder, joy, and inspiration, making us feel, if only for a moment, that anything is possible.

See you onstage this week for Build A Better Now keynotes and workshops across the USA! Magic filled and surrounded by wonder.
